Whats fresh at Celilo.....

Fresh Chef John Helleberg, back from Utah!

Spring morels are in.......
True morels should not be far behind but that depends on the weather. The warm weekend was good but today is not.
Asparagus is not far off either but it depends on the same warm weather.
We’ll see some more wild fiddleheads and possibly ramps (wild leeks) this week.......

Mix Magazine Loves Hood River!

Wow, we've been called alot of things in our day (not all of them good) but "pioneering market driven" and "staunch patriarch" is a first for The Sixth Street, and "Zealous about Local cuisine" about Celilo is also a first!

Mix Magazine out of Portland gave both places good reviews. We've been around for awhile, it's always nice when we get some notice. The Magazine is on newsstands in the city now, it's very cool!

Bite of the Gorge, and Taste of the Nation

Here locally, we just finished Bite of the Gorge, and at the End of the Month, we'll be doing Taste of the Nation to benefit Share our Strength in their fight against chronic hunger.

It promises to be a great event, please take the evening and come by!

And while we were in Hawaii....

We ate a lot of fish. Sushi for breakfast........

A Traditional Hawaiian Lo'i

Did you know Hawaii has few/no CSAs? Yep, this is one of the first, and it
grows Kalo, or Taro, a Staple in Hawaii.
